Monroe Crossing's
Bluegrass & Gospel Show- Saturday, January 8th

When people start talking about bluegrass/gospel music, they can't
help but mention Monroe Crossing. This five person-ensemble is hot
and getting hotter. Rake Magazine has dubbed them "Minnesota's
premier bluegrass outfit." The Minnesota Music Academy nominated
them for Artist of the Year.

Preview competition one acts produced by Phoenix Theatre and Red
Wing High School. Phoenix Theatre's production of Middle Aged
White Guys is a wacky exploration of personal responsibility
and atonement, as portrayed by three brothers at a garbage dump.
Red Wing High School gives us a comedic glance of a family sending
its first child off to college when it mounts a production of Ed
Mask's Going to School. Not appropriate
for young children.

It's the ultimate reality show - a real family, with real talent
showing its audience a real good time. This family is a Branson
original and their music is second to none. The performers span
three generations and play everything from bluegrass to classical.

Children's Theatre - The Jungle Book - Saturday, January

This Rudyard Kipling classic takes you into the jungle with Mowgli
the man-cub. Through his adventures with wolves, bears, panthers,
tigers and even a rock-python, he learns some important lessons
about life. The Missloula Children's Theatre's original musical
adaptation of the tale features performances by Goodhue County 4-Hers.

Shawn McConneloug and her Orchestra perform a multi-media song-driven
work about the trials and tribulations of broken hearts in a never-ending
search for love. A mix of yodeling, dancing, lassos, buckin' broncos
and country-western vocals are interspaced with vintage film clips
to tell the tale.

Zydeco - Friday, February 18th- 8:00pm
When accordionist Buckwheat Zydeco and his band play music, people
dance. Their blend of traditional Creole Zydeco with Afro-Caribbean
rhythm and blues, soul, rock and more inspires you to move! Check
out what The New York Times calls "one of the best

There's no better history than personal stories. A number of community
members have been asked to share their funny, poignant and illuminating
memories of The Sheldon. Master storyteller Kevin Kling will host
the afternoon and participate in the telling of the tales.

Children's Theatre, presents - Cinderella - Saturday,

You know that Prince Charming, a glass slipper and a Fairy Godmother
are all keys to Cinderella's transformation from servant girl to
princess. But do you know about Cleo the Cat and Fido the Dog? This
Cinderella story with a twist will keep you on your toes. The
production will feature students from School District 256.

Hero: The Jackie Robinson Story - Monday, April 11th-

Jackie Robinson was the first African-American to play major league
baseball, hand-chosen for the role as much for his ability to keep
his cool as for his skill as a ballplayer. The inspiring story of
how he broke the color barrier in baseball, and opened the door
of opportunity to a new generation of African-Americans, is an inspiration.

Commonweal
Theatre of Lanesboro presents, The Wild Duck - Friday,
April 15th - 8:00pm
Hank Ibsen's masterpiece focuses on the lives of two families and
the lies that bind them. Is honesty always the best policy, or are
some truths better left untold? This play explores that question
and offers a rather surprising conclusion.

Fiamma Fumana
- Saturday, April 16th - 8:00pm
A group of musicians from northern Italy's mountain region, Fiamma
Fumana preserves old Italian songs and dance tunes and blends them
with the newest Italian electronic dance sound. Critics describe
their music as "infectiously danceable," and "credible
in both dance clubs and coffee houses."

Theatre Brass Band - A Rhapsody in Brass! - Saturday,

Just back from the 2005 North American Brass Band Association Championship,
the Brass Band and its featured soloists will perform some of the

Disco days are back at least for a couple of hours. The R-Factor
(formerly Ruperts Orchestra), will give you the fever to bring back

Two comedic silent films directed by Buster Keaton. In both films
love, marriage, deception and misunderstanding lead to some amusingly
muddled relationships.

Jennifer
Foote - Saturday, May 21st - 8:00pm
Her dynamic performance skills, incredible soprano voice and awesome
storytelling talent make a Jennifer Foote concert an event worth
attending. Her repertoire ranges from 1930's hits and Cole Porter
and Irving Berlin tunes to an extensive menu of classical pieces.
The Iowa native has performed on stages from Des Moines to New York
City.
